Job summary

The Financial Accountant is responsible for carrying out all activities related to the company's financial accounting, ensuring that accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable tax and accounting regulations. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts, overseeing bank reconciliations, and meeting tax deadlines.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of Financial Statements:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.

    • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial reports in accordance with US GAAP or local accounting standards.

  2. Account Reconciliations:

    • Perform and review bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable reconciliations.

    • Ensure that all accounting transactions are correctly recorded and align with account balances.

  3. Fixed Asset Management:

    • Manage the recording and depreciation of the company’s fixed assets.

    • Keep the fixed asset inventory up to date and ensure proper accounting of assets.

  4. Tax Compliance:

    • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax, etc.).

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax and labor regulations.

    • Manage tax audits and collaborate with external and internal auditors during the review process.

  5. Financial Analysis:

    • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

    • Interpret variances in financial reports and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

  6. Support in Budget Preparation:
    • Collaborate with the finance team in preparing the annual budget and financial projections.

    • Monitor budget compliance and prepare variance reports.

  7. Internal and External Audits:
    • Assist in external and internal audit processes by providing the necessary documentation and reports.

    • Ensure that accounting and financial records are aligned with the company’s internal policies and procedures.

  8. Management of Accounts Receivable and Payable:
    • Oversee the proper management of accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

    • Monitor overdue accounts and coordinate with the collections department to resolve discrepancies.

  9. Other Responsibilities:
    • Provide accounting support to other business areas as needed.

    • Participate in improving accounting and financial processes by implementing new tools or technologies.

    • Stay up-to-date on changes in tax and accounting regulations.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

    • Professional certification in accounting (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), etc.) is preferred.

    • Intermediate-Advanced English proficiency.

    • 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role.

    • Experience in preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

    • Proficiency in accounting and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, formulas).

    • Familiarity with national and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with other departments.
