Job description:

We are seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations for our Mexico operation.This role will focus on transactional accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, and reconciliations) while also providing opportunities to assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Accounting

  • Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

  • Maintain accounts receivable records, prepare customer statements, and support collections follow-up.

  • Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

  • Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and credit card statements.

  • Record general ledger journal entries in Epicor ERP.

Month-End Close & Reporting

  • Assist in monthly closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

  • Support preparation of internal reports for U.S. and Canada SG&A entities.

  • Provide documentation and analysis for internal and external audits.

Process & Compliance

  • Ensure transactions are compliant with internal controls, accounting policies, and company procedures.

  • Maintain organized financial records and support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in accounting processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2-3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environtment. 

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS exposure a plus).

  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Epicor ERP or other ERP systems preferred.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong communication skills; English and Spanish proficiency preferred.
