Position Overview:
The Production Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly and/or machine operations within the manufacturing facility in Mexico. This role involves leading and supervising a team of workers, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Supervision:

Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of assembly workers and/or machine operators to achieve production targets and quality standards.

Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operation.
Production Planning and Coordination:

Coordinate with production planning and scheduling teams to ensure timely execution of production orders.

Allocate resources, including manpower and equipment, to meet production requirements.

Monitor production progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Enforce quality standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.

Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality and safety concerns.
Process Improvement and Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Health and Safety:

Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.

Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and accident investigations as needed.

Provide safety training and promote awareness of safety protocols and practices among assembly team members.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience in manufacturing assembly operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of assembly processes, quality control methods, and safety regulations.

Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems.

Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
