Position Summary

The Jr. Buyer is responsible for supporting procurement activities for the company´s operations in Tijuana. This role will focus on sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating purchase approvals and material receipt, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing aligned with project requirements. The Jr. Buyer will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Operations, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vendor searches, qualification, and onboarding in alignment with company requirements

  • Request and evaluate quotations (RFQs) from vendors

  • Prepare and submit purchase approval requests

  • Place and track purchase orders ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials

  • Coordinate with warehouse and receiving teams for material intake and quality confirmation

  • Assist Finance with 3-way match processes (PO, invoice, and receiving verification)

  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation

  • Support sourcing of construction materials, hardware, millwork components, and specialty finishes

  • Collaborate with U.S.-based team to support international purchasing and cross-border compliance

Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

  • 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, ideally within construction, hardware, manufacturing, or furniture-making industries

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required

  • Experience in international procurement, U.S.-Mexico trade, or maquiladora environments (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with purchasing workflows and documentation processes
