Objective:
Supports the logistics department in coordinating cross-border transportation of raw materials and finished goods between Tijuana and San Diego. This role is ideal for someone organized and detail-oriented, interested in international trade, and eager to learn about U.S.-Mexico customs regulations, freight scheduling, and documentation processes.
Main functions:

Coordinate daily import of raw materials from the U.S. and export of finished goods from Tijuana to San Diego.

Prepare and submit set-up forms and documentation for U.S. Customs classifications and cross-border movement.

Communicate with customs brokers and freight carriers to ensure accurate and timely clearance.

Support carrier selection and transportation scheduling based on timelines and project needs.

Ensure shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) are complete and compliant.

Track and report shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues with carriers.

Maintain organized digital and physical records of all import/export activities.

Assist with inventory transfers and customs reporting.

Work closely with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to align logistics with project timelines.

Follow all trade compliance guidelines and participate in internal logistics process improvements.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in logistics, international trade, or business is a plus.

Basic understanding of import/export procedures and cross-border shipping between Mexico and the U.S.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with external providers.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Willingness to learn customs classification processes and freight coordination.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
