Descripción
The Mission:
As our FATP Process Engineer, you are the final guardian of product quality. You will own the end-to-end assembly process—from the first component marriage to the final packaged box. You will be responsible for stabilizing the assembly line, optimizing cycle times, and ensuring that every unit shipped meets our rigorous global standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assembly & Test Optimization
-
Line Balancing: Analyze FATP workflows to optimize station cycle times, eliminate bottlenecks, and maximize Units Per Hour (UPH).
-
Technical Integration: Conduct process analysis based on product architecture to ensure seamless assembly and testing sequences.
2. Yield Recovery & Defect Diagnostics
-
Root Cause Analysis: Lead Failure Analysis (FA) on defects found during assembly or functional testing. Identify if issues are related to components, fixtures, or operator handling.
-
Corrective Actions: Implement immediate and long-term CA/PA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to drive the Overall Yield Rate toward 100%.
3. Critical Issue Resolution
-
Troubleshooting: Act as the primary technical lead during "line down" situations, coordinating with cross-functional teams (Quality, ME, and Production) to restore operations quickly.
-
Standardization: Ensure all FATP processes strictly adhere to SOPs and implement updates when process improvements are validated.
4. Scrap & Cost Efficiency
-
Material Control: Investigate scrap trends at the assembly level. Develop measures to reduce mechanical damage and material waste during the "Pack" phase.
-
DOE Execution: Design and run Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate new fixtures, tools, or process changes before mass production.
Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
-
Experience: 5+ years in FATP environments (Consumer Electronics experience is a major plus).
Technical Skills:
-
Strong proficiency in Failure Analysis (FA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools.
-
Expertise in Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical process control.
-
Familiarity with assembly fixtures, automation, and functional test stations.
-
Soft Skills: High resilience and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
-
English proficiency is preferred for global reporting.
