Functions and Responsibilities.

• Create and negotiate contracts with selected suppliers, demonstrating negotiation skills.
• Carry out continuous improvement and supplier development based on various concepts (quality, service, and cost).
• Interact with colleagues and purchasing and supply chain managers on cost, performance, savings, and cost increases.
• Generate and maintain quotes, delivery times, and orders in SAP.
• Manage inventory levels in material groups and act upon opportunities for inventory reductions.
• Daily management of MRP exceptions with suppliers.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, including monitoring supplier capacity, relationships, quality, and costs.
• Handle impacts of product changes due to demand resulting from engineering changes and the introduction of new products.
• Own supplier quality management or scorecard; ensuring optimal on-time deliveries, cost, and quality, as well as compliance with required specifications (new and current products).
• Active participation in cost reduction activities.
• Collaborate with planning in collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends on purchasing demand.
• Interpret and analyze spending per product within the company's supply chain.

Requirements.

• Completed degree.
• Focus on negotiation skills and the ability to seek opportunities with suppliers.
• Experience in purchasing and sourcing within manufacturing and electronics.
• Working knowledge of purchasing and use of MRP, techniques, and preference policies.
• General knowledge of the manufacturing process, drawings, and preferred specifications.
• Experience in consignment, JIT & VMI is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create purchase orders/contracts.
• 80% or higher proficiency in English (mandatory).
• Strong skills in Excel, Word, and SAP or equivalent.
