Logistics Coordinator

An electronics company operating five global distribution centers and three manufacturing plants is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support its global logistics operations.

This position is responsible for coordinating and executing daily transportation and logistics activities on a global scale, with a direct impact on supply chain efficiency. The role ensures the timely and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining effective communication with internal teams, strategic partners, and customers, and operating successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing shifting priorities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Transportation & Shipment Coordination
  • Plan, schedule, and track domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate daily with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
  • Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation.
  • Monitor shipment status, identify exceptions or delays, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment-related inquiries from customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide timely updates on order status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment information in internal systems.
  • Request information from operational teams and coordinate with management-level stakeholders.
  • Follow up and negotiate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Maintain a strong customer service focus and stakeholder engagement.

Operational & Administrative Duties

  • Maintain detailed records of shipments, carrier performance, and logistics metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement of logistics processes, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international logistics and transportation (global operations, not limited to Mexico–U.S. shipments).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Proficiency in logistics platforms, ERP, WMS, TMS, or related systems.

Required Technical Knowledge

  • Experience working with freight forwarders.
  • Basic knowledge of USMCA.
  • General knowledge of hazardous materials handling.
  • Strong command of international shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, SLI, among others.
  • Valid visa.
