Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness. This team member will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

1. Process Development and Optimization:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices to enhance efficiency & productivity.

  • Design and layout manufacturing workstations, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal workflow.

2. Equipment and Tooling Management:

  • Specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.

  • Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.

  • Work with suppliers to ensure equipment and tooling meet specifications and standards.

3. Production Support:

  • Provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions.

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.

5. Project Management:

  • Manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

6. Health and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.

  • Implement safety improvements to reduce risks and prevent accidents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, and automation.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.

  • Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
