Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness. This team member will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Process Development and Optimization:

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.

Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices to enhance efficiency & productivity.

Design and layout manufacturing workstations, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal workflow.
2. Equipment and Tooling Management:

Specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.

Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.

Work with suppliers to ensure equipment and tooling meet specifications and standards.
3. Production Support:

Provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.

Conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions.
4. Continuous Improvement:

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
5. Project Management:

Manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.

Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. Health and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.

Implement safety improvements to reduce risks and prevent accidents.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, and automation.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.

Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
