We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Accountant Manager to join our team. This role is a critical link between finance and operations, providing the financial insights and analytical rigor necessary to support high-impact, strategic decision-making, particularly concerning large-scale investment projects, cost reduction, performance improvement, and automation initiatives.-----Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a dedicated strategic partner to the Operations team, providing clear visibility into operational performance (productivity, efficiency, and costs) to inform daily management decisions and support complex scenario analysis.
- Investment Evaluation: Lead the financial evaluation of capital expenditure (CAPEX) and other investment initiatives (e.g., automation, new lines, facility relocation), ensuring measurable Return on Investment (ROI) and efficiency objectives are met.
- Cost Analysis & Optimization: Deeply analyze fixed, variable, standard, and actual costs to identify key optimization levers and drive continuous process improvement across the organization.
- Cost Modeling: Develop, maintain, and enhance robust, detailed cost models by product and process to ensure accurate profitability reporting and effective pricing strategies.
- Financial Cycle Management: Oversee and actively participate in month-end closing, annual budgeting, forecasting, and detailed variance analysis cycles.
- Inventory Oversight: Manage and ensure the accuracy of inventory valuation, physical flow tracking, and stock controls.
- Governance & Compliance: Uphold strong internal controls and ensure strict compliance with corporate accounting standards.
- Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and manage the local cost accounting team (analysts), fostering a culture of high performance and financial discipline.
- Change Agent: Serve as a change agent, promoting financial accountability and literacy among plant managers and non-financial personnel by clearly explaining cost logic and operational variances.
-----Qualifications and Experience
- Manufacturing Expertise: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in the manufacturing industry is required.
- Cost Accounting Mastery: Extensive, hands-on experience in all facets of cost accounting, including cost behavior, margin analysis, variance interpretation, and complex financial modeling.
- Project Finance Acumen: Proven ability to financially evaluate large industrial projects, including mastery of CAPEX, ROI, and payback period analysis.
- Leadership Track Record: 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a leadership or managerial role within the financial/cost accounting field.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis tools (Excel/Business Intelligence platforms).
- Global Mindset: Prior international work experience in a multicultural or multinational corporate environment is highly desirable.
Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field.
- Fluency in Advanced English (written and spoken).
- Must have a valid US Visa
