Role Summary:
The Engineering Integration Specialist is responsible for bridging the gap between sales, engineering, and production by ensuring each sold project - whether a residential modular home, is properly validated, broken down, and released with precision. This role starts with reviewing finalized plans and sales acknowledgements for alignment, resolves any discrepancies, then creates and manages a complete bill of materials. The specialist collaborates closely with engineering, purchasing, and product teams to ensure material availability, BOM accuracy, and timely handoff to production. Additionally, this person is responsible for maintaining BOM data across shared tracking systems and updating master records throughout the workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Validation & Plan Review

Review sales acknowledgements and final plans (residential or industrial) for each sold project.

Identify discrepancies or missing information and work with sales and engineering to reconcile before proceeding.

Ensure that all technical details in the plan align with the expectations outlined in the client’s order.
2. Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation

Develop detailed, project-specific BOMs for modular homes and booth units.

Structure BOMs in accordance with internal standards for use in ERP and purchasing systems.

Work with engineering to ensure that all components and assemblies are properly represented.
3. Cross-Department Coordination

Coordinate closely with Product and Purchasing teams to verify that specified materials are current, available, and not discontinued.

Monitor for long lead times or backorders and proactively address issues before production release.

Update purchasing with any relevant changes in scope or substitutions for discontinued components.
4. System Integration & Tracking

Update and maintain BOM records in the Master List and Company Parts and Materials – Master List.

Track the workflow status of each project from validation through release using company tools.

Ensure revision tracking, data consistency, and version control across all platforms.
5. Final Release & Handoff

Once a BOM is finalized and approved by the Engineering Manager, formally release the package to purchasing and production.

Ensure handoff includes drawings, part numbers, quantities, notes, and supplier information.

Support clean transitions and resolve late-stage clarifications with minimal disruption to the build schedule.
6. Continuous Improvement & Standardization

Help standardize components and materials across similar projects where appropriate.

Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to ongoing improvement in the design-to-release workflow.

Participate in documentation and process reviews to improve accuracy and consistency.
Requirements:

+3 years of experience in a similar position

+3 years of experience creating and maintaining BOM data

ERP Management

Bilingual Spanish/English
-
US Valid Visa and availability to travel
