We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the infrastructure team of a global leader in cloud technologies at its advanced design lab in Tijuana’s Santa Fe area. This role focuses on building and managing scalable, cloud-native infrastructure, enabling continuous delivery and high availability across distributed systems in a multi-cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform and Crossplane.
- Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage and optimize databases (e.g., NIFI) and streaming data platforms (e.g., Kafka).
- Administer CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools.
- Write and maintain automated runbooks and support bots.
- Conduct capacity planning based on performance and usage metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to automate monitoring, alerting, and ensure application reliability.
- Implement redundancy to support system availability and business continuity.
- Perform after-hours updates and infrastructure maintenance as needed.
- Support 24/7 production environments and help debug microservices in distributed platforms.
- Follow and improve SRE and DevOps practices.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of industry experience managing infrastructure.
- 5+ years of Linux administration in a large-scale SaaS environment.
- 5+ years managing production systems on AWS and/or OpenStack.
- 3+ years managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS.
- Strong skills in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Crossplane).
- Programming experience in Go or Python.
- Experience with Kafka, NIFI, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Vertica, Zookeeper, Nginx.
- Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL database optimization.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Strong grasp of scalable, high-availability infrastructure design.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., GitHub).
