Manufacturing Engineer - Semiconductors
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for capacity planning, hardware planning and forecasting activities related to all post-fab semiconductor manufacturing processes, including Bump, Probe, BE2, Assembly and Final Test, for both internal and external suppliers. The Industrial Engineer will possess a comprehensive understanding of product and resource requirements, manufacturing capacities, throughput rates, capital equipment/hardware lead times, resource utilization and sourcing strategies. Additionally, the Industrial Engineer will oversee the development, utilization and maintenance of internal capacity models for all post-fab semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Generating short-term and long-term supplier forecasts
- Communicating forecast demands to suppliers and collaborating closely with supplier teams to address capacity constraints to support build plans and forecast demands
- Analyzing capacity constraints and identifying solutions
- Creating equipment CapEx plans to support short-term and long-term forecast demands
- Defining, communicating, and planning Test Hardware requirements to support short-term and long-term demands
- Managing constraint resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product/Test Engineering, Sourcing, Business Units, Operations, Suppliers, and Quality Engineering
- Generating capacity scenarios and recommending solutions to support demand upsides, sourcing strategies, utilization strategies, and capacity expansion strategies
- Maintaining capacity planning attributes and resource availability in the planning system
- Defining system requirements, process requirements, and process efficiency improvements, and collaborating with IT and BPA teams to implement them
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 3+ years of Industrial Engineering or Capacity Planning experience (including risk analysis, efficiency maximization, data analysis, manufacturing processes)
- Background in the semiconductor industry with an understanding of post-fab manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel and/or VBA Macros
- Experience with MRP tools (e.g., Oracle, Kinaxis)
- Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau
- Fluent in conversational and business English
- US Visa preferred but not mandatory
