The mechanical engineer is expected to play a key role in designing hardware and be able to evaluate the hardware aspects of the overall design from the perspective of how the designs will function within the test platform ecosystem. Some example tasks include:

The individual selected for the position, needs to be proactive, able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, enthusiastic to work at times as an individual contributor and be passionate about delivering quality work.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 1-3 years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience
2. Proficiency using Creo Parametric 3D modelling tools or equivalent using top-down design assembly methods.
3. Familiar with critical dimensions and geometric tolerancing applications per ASME Y14.5-2009.
4. Experience performing tolerance analysis calculations.
5. Ability to set up and run DOE’s to trouble shoot test issues
6. Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with engineering leads to capture relevant design requirements.
7. Ability to multi-task while shifting priorities on a daily basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Working knowledge of FEA Methodology for test correlation
2. Machined, injection molded and sheet metal design experience.
3. Knowledge of Semiconductor automated test equipment
4. Familiarity with Agile product lifecycle management tool

Education Requirements

BSME or equivalent required, MSME or equivalent preferred.
