Position Overview:
Primary responsibilities for the MES Specialist will focus on the integration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of third-party Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Work closely with production, IT, and external vendors to ensure the smooth operation of MES systems. The role requires minimal development responsibilities, as the emphasis is on system integration and support rather than custom MES development. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT systems support and will play a critical role in optimizing our operations and supporting our growth.
Responsibilities:
1. MES Systems Management:
· Integrate third-party MES solutions with existing ERP and production systems.
· Monitor the performance of MES systems and ensure smooth operations.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MES system performance and functionality.
· Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure MES system updates and enhancements are properly implemented.
· Provide technical support to production and IT teams to ensure optimal use of the MES system.
· Perform regular maintenance tasks and updates for MES systems.
· Conduct MES system training for internal teams as needed.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and company operational procedures.
2. Collaboration & Project Management:
· Work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and finance, to understand their MES and IT needs.
· Assist with the implementation of new technology solutions.
· Lead and participate in IT projects related to system upgrades, automation, and process optimization.
· Document system processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· Experience with third-party MES platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, or Wonderware.
· Familiarity with ERP and production system integration.
· 3+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive sector.
· Experience with network administration, hardware troubleshooting, and system support.
· Experience with IT security best practices, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
· Familiarity with manufacturing processes and automotive industry standards is a plus.
· Proficiency in Spanish and English language required.
