A leading company in the furniture sector, dedicated to innovating and transforming the market with award-winning, high-demand products, is currently seeking an Manufacturing Engineer - Pattern Design to join their team.
Job Title: Manufacturing engineer (Pattern Design)
Department: NPI
Location: Tijuana B,C. Mexico
Reporting to: NPI Manager
Travel Required: <5%
Position Summary:
The Pattern Design Tech is responsible for supporting the creation of prototypes and textile patterns for new product introduction, optimizing production patterns for improved quality/fit/finish and improving pattern design to facilitate efficient upholstery.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Performs manufacturing engineering disciplines to include but not limited to the following:
- Develop pattern geometries
- Create CAD for pattern designs
- Create nested pattern markers for CNC cutting
Qualifications, Skills and Education:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pattern creation role
- Hands on cutting/sewing experience
- Working knowledge of cutting and sewing techniques/technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency, MS Office and other typical office software programs
- Familiarity with CAD and CNC cutting software – AutoCAD, Accumark, Diamino, Formaris
- Bilingual – English & Spanish

Working conditions:
- Combination of hands on, shop floor and office environment
- Occasional weekend/evening work if required
