Production Supervisor I Fiberglass area

Job Summary

Position is accountable for maintaining a productive, efficient, quality-oriented and safe work atmosphere during shift operation. Supervisor is expected to provide guidance, support direction and leadership through positive interactions with all personnel during daily operations. Responsible for supervising the day to day production, scheduling, staffing, material management, compliance, training and auditing activities - to meet customer requirements including deadlines and quality standars. 

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs. 
• Computes amounts of stocks and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area. 
• Understands using certain methodology for manufacturing structure (Lean, Kanban, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Serve ad a resource and content expert to team leader adn team member; providing them with guidance and being available to answer questions to clarify the work activities.
• The supevisor will have meeting team members to coordinate production schedules as needed. 
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. 
• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects material.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Industrial Engineering or related field
• 2+ year in this position. 
• Advanced english
• Strong leadership skills, independent thinker, strong organizational and planning skilss, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
