A precision manufacturing company located in Tecate is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join its team. The company specializes in advanced laser cutting, metal fabrication, and value-added engineering services, delivering high-quality solutions to a diverse range of industries.

Position Summary:
The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for leading the engineering team and overseeing technical operations within a metal-focused manufacturing environment. This role requires approximately 10 years of engineering experience, including proven leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Design experience is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Manage engineering projects from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with production goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Apply expertise in metal fabrication processes to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including production, quality, and maintenance to resolve technical challenges.
  • Review and approve engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Support design and development efforts for new or customized products.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and internal procedures.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, including supervisory or team leadership roles.
  • Strong background in metals and metalworking processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on design experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
