Objective
-
- Work within the parameters of the QM System to help the company achieve both general and specific quality efforts, as well as overall growth objectives.
- Supervise the areas of Industrial and/or Process Engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Technical Engineering, optimizing company and customer processes and complex systems to minimize waste.
- Manage communication and coordination among different types of engineers, liaise with Engineering Management, and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
Industrial Engineering Management
- Supervise all aspects of industrial, mechanical, process, and tooling equipment to ensure production readiness, capacity, tools, and plant equipment.
- Develop and implement data control processes and procedures, work instructions, and product manufacturing methods.
- Supervise to ensure successful execution and compliance with departmental processes and procedures implemented or modified.
- Oversee the design of manufacturing processes and tooling to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with customer demand and requirements.
- Analyze new equipment and develop the technology required for product manufacturing.
- Plan and prepare investment proposals for equipment and technologies in relation to the capital expenditure budget.
- Manage equipment qualification and process validation for new and existing equipment.
- Manage and support special manufacturing/process engineering projects.
Technical Department
- Supervise the team and processes for operating systems such as SAP, Aegis, and Flex VS.
- Manage engineering change orders and ensure they are properly implemented.
- Manage the SAP material master and customer bills of materials.
- Manage the Flex/Aegis workflow team.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical).
- Over 10 years of experience in PCA and electronic assembly, preferably in contract manufacturing operations.
- Over 5 years of experience as a Manager within the engineering and maintenance department
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects related to the production of precision electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Strong understanding of organizational culture and structure, with proven leadership in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
