Position Overview:

The Materials Manager will oversee the planning, ordering, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Materials Planning:

· Develop and implement materials management strategies in alignment with company goals and customer demands using Epicor ERP system.

· Forecast material requirements based on production schedules and customer orders.

· Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure production continuity.

· Inventory Management:

· Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products.

· Implement and manage inventory control systems to track inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.

· Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

· Logistics and Distribution:

· Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of materials to production and finished products to customers.

· Manage relationships with logistics providers and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Team Leadership:

· Lead, train, and develop the materials management team to achieve department goals.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.

· Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all materials management activities.

· Reporting and Analysis:

· Prepare regular reports on materials management performance, including inventory levels, procurement activities, and supplier performance.

· Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.

· Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, preferably within the automotive industry.

· Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and inventory control.

· Certification in supply chain management or related fields (e.g., APICS, CPSM)..

· Proficiency in materials management software and ERP systems, Epicor or similar.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems.

· Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
