General Summary:

The RF Product Development and Test Engineering group develops test solutions for design verification and characterization of highly integrated RF receiver/transmitter/transceiver ASICs and Front-End Modules designed by the company.

Job responsibilities for this position include test software development, design and debug of test interface hardware, test methodology development and implementation, test equipment automation, and test solution verification. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related fields. 
  • >1 year experience in test validation, test automation, RF testing. 
  • Experience in key RF measurements (i.e EVM, ACLR, Gain, NF, IP3, Phase Noise, etc.) 
  • Understanding of basic RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal source analyzer, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.). 
  • Understanding of basic ATE test platforms (Advantest, UflexCohu, etc.). 
  • Experience with developing/modifying Visual Basic, C++, C#, Java, Python, LabVIEW and/or TestStand.  
  • Knowledge in RF-PCB design basics. 
  • Understands board design, debug, and development. 

Physical Requirements 

  • Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile. 
  • Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs. 
  • Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting). 
  • Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day. 
  • Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Experience in RF test methodology development and implementation using different programming languages and test platforms. 
  • Strong understanding of RF Measurement science.  
  • Solid understanding of the measurements necessary to characterize an RF device through theoretical and practical applications. 
  • Familiarity with cellular standards such as CDMA2000, 1X-EVDO, LTE, LTEU, WCDMA, UMTS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, or wireless peripheral standards such as 802.11x WLAN or other OFDM-based systems, GPS, and Bluetooth. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
