Descripción

We are seeking a high-caliber Trilingual Translator to serve as the critical communication link for our night shift RIM (Reaction Injection Molding) operations. In this role, you aren’t just translating words; you are ensuring operational safety, technical precision, and seamless collaboration between our overseas technical experts and the local production team during peak manufacturing hours. You will be the primary facilitator for our Spanish, Mandarin, and English-speaking engineering and production teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Floor Technical Interpretation: Provide real-time consecutive interpretation on the production floor, specifically for RIM machine calibration, chemical mixing adjustments, and troubleshooting between Chinese technical leads and Mexican operators.

  • Production Documentation: Translate and update high-stakes technical documents, including RIM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols (MSDS), and hourly production reports across Spanish, Mandarin, and English.

  • Night Shift Coordination: Facilitate "shift handover" meetings, ensuring that technical issues or production targets from the day shift are accurately communicated to the night shift leadership.

  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Perform rigorous "back-translations" of technical instructions to guarantee 100% accuracy in chemical ratios and molding temperatures, where error-free communication is vital for safety.

  • RIM Terminology Management: Develop and maintain a trilingual glossary specifically for Polyurethane/RIM manufacturing (e.g., impingement mixing, clamp pressure, mold release) to be used throughout the plant.

  • Crisis Mediation: Act as a cultural and linguistic bridge during urgent equipment downtime or quality spikes, ensuring rapid resolution without "lost in translation" delays.

What You Bring

  • Trilingual Mastery: Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, and English. You must be comfortable switching between all three rapidly in a noisy manufacturing environment.

  • Industrial Grit: A deep understanding of manufacturing etiquette and the ability to navigate the cultural nuances of both Chinese engineering teams and Latin American production staff.

  • Technical Edge: Solid grasp of automotive or plastics manufacturing terminology. Familiarity with RIM processes, chemical safety, or injection molding is a significant advantage.

  • Availability: Must be fully committed to the night shift schedule and comfortable working in a plant environment in Coahuila.

  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related Technical field. Professional certification (e.g., HSK 6) is highly preferred.
