Objective:

To ensure the factory's internal quality performance by maintaining process stability, improving production capacity, and preventing defects through systematic problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead process reviews and control plan updates to ensure robust process control and effective risk mitigation.

  • Monitor SPC trends to detect process changes and verify the timely and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Actively participate in Quality, Reliability, and Quality Control (QRQC) meetings, drive root cause analysis related to processes, and ensure the resolution of quality issues.

  • Maintain ownership of critical quality documents and ensure their accuracy.

Problem Solving:

  • 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa (fishbone) analysis to lead structured problem-solving activities.

  • Support cross-functional teams to identify the root causes and implement strong containment and permanent corrective actions.

  • Data-driven decision-making by leveraging process capability (Cp/Cpk), Pareto analysis, and statistical tools.

  • Methods for implementing inspection, testing, and evaluation of the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment.

  • Ensure the process meets quality standards

  • Reports for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.

  • Initiate and lead quality improvement projects and teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in a quality-engineering role, preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP (including submissions), FMEA, MSA, and SPC.

  • Proficient in quality tools and techniques (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.).

  • Knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.

  • Schedule availability for working overtime.

  • Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 7am to 5pm

Friday: 7am to 3pm
