Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Tecate, Baja California

Company Overview:
A precision manufacturing company located in Tecate is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to lead its fabrication and production operations. The company specializes in metalworking processes including laser cutting, forming, and assembly, serving a variety of industrial clients with high-quality, customized solutions.

Position Summary:
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and safety across the shop floor. This role requires a minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferably with exposure to metal fabrication. Strong leadership skills and solid English communication are essential. A background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output goals.
• Ensure efficient use of resources, adherence to schedules, and compliance with quality standards.
• Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance departments to resolve production issues and optimize processes.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork on the production floor.
• Participate in strategic planning and capacity analysis to support business growth.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities for supervisors and line staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in production management within manufacturing or fabrication environments.
• Experience with metals and metalworking processes is a strong plus.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Solid English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, operational excellence (OpEx), or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Engineering background is beneficial but not required.
