Job Summary: The Senior Logistics Manager oversees the global and domestic movement of goods, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and optimizing logistics operations. This role focuses on enhancing transportation efficiency and profitability, managing carrier relationships, and collaborating with customer support teams to maintain high service levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics and Operations: Coordinate transportation and warehousing to streamline goods movement. Develop strategies to improve logistics efficiency and profitability.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Analyze market trends and regulations to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. Implement strategies to support business growth.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs procedures, and company policies. Manage accurate documentation for shipments.
- RFP/Procurement Management: Manage RFP and procurement processes for carrier services. Negotiate contracts and monitor performance for cost-effectiveness.
- Customer Support, Vendor, and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to meet delivery deadlines and quality expectations. Resolve shipment issues proactively.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and review import/export documentation. Generate reports on trade performance and cost analysis. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.

- Certifications such as Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) are advantageous.
