Description

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for the industrialization of new products. They interact with the operations centers through industrial engineering, quality control, engineering, and test engineering. The TPM is responsible for building the relationship with the customer. They industrialize customer projects across the entire value chain, working closely with specialists at the assigned operations site. Their focus when defining and implementing the manufacturing strategy is on cost, quality, flexibility, and availability.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Set up the calculation folder.

  • Facilitate and prepare material quotation calculations; perform material clean-up.

  • Request PCB panel drawing from Engineering.

  • Complete supplier questionnaires (as needed).

  • Provide special tooling and process engineering.

  • Facilitate engineering meetings with the customer.

  • Complete the NPI (New Product Introduction) checklist and submit it to the technical department.

  • Manage ECN (Engineering Change Notice) requirements and approvals.

  • Work with the technical department to configure the Bill of Materials.

  • Review the production routing with the planning team.

  • Follow up on FAI (First Article Inspection) and/or PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).

  • Communicate with customers about manufacturing/build issues.

  • Assist in resolving testing problems.

  • Issue deviations and obtain signatures.

  • Facilitate SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests).

  • Resolve technical follow-up of RMAs and contribute to resolving quality issues.

  • Communicate PCN (Product Change Notification) updates.

  • Resolve process-related problems and changes.

  • Attend technical meetings with customers.

  • Advise on second sources for components, technical clarifications, and production topics.

  • Review MPC/PPC (Manufacturing and Production Planning Controls).

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of electronics manufacturing, including electronic subassemblies, full assemblies, as well as mechanical and electromechanical components.

  • Over 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a similar role within the electronics industry.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with a strong preference for SAP.

  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
